Instrumental rock & metal. Originating from Manchester, England, Chris Appleton draws on influences from Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Jon Petrucci and Tony Iommi. You can see therefore NWOBHM / Old School metal, laced with virtuosity, speed and power whilst not forgetting the finely-crafted and moving sensitivity of the ballad. The songs on this CD were written during the last 4/5 years whilst Chris co-existed within other band projects and with the right timing and the right delivery has presented this work as an EP/CD release via Rocksector Records in 2005. Chris Appleton plays all instruments on his remarkable CD. His experience dates back to age 10 when he first picked up a guitar, chiefly self-taught and after a smattering of school/college band projects, established himself firmly in the rock community with live work in both Fury UK and Kick The Kat. Both these bands continue to-date. Chris' playing currently resonates ever more widely across the North of England principally via his live work but also via the internet with the recordings of Fury UK and now with his solo efforts. This solo CD simply must be listened to in order to be properly appreciated and whilst some of the impact is immediate, it is also a "grower". Chris has endorsement/sponsorship arrangements with Engl Amps & Gibson Guitars, both of which he uses exclusively.
