Nightvision, an incredibly talented new young British 4-piece hard rock band from Lincolnshire, released their irresistible, tour de force debut album, ‘As The Lights Go Down’, on Rocksector Records on April 6th…. ‘As The Lights Go Down’ is packed with exuberant, crisp, crunching guitar riffs, soaring, wide ranging vocals, thunderous melodic bass lines & powerhouse engine room drumming. This is the sound of four excellent young musicians who have embraced their influences from the (metal and hard rock) past, injected tons of energy & enthusiasm & created their own distinctive brand of high energy hard rock music in the process. 2009 in summary for Nightvision has been a whirlwind :-
Nightvision started back in 2003 in Lincolnshire when guitarist Neil (Bolda) Wallis & drummer Daryl (Daz) Hocking first got together to play music, bonded by a shared love of Iron Maiden, Queen, Metallica, Guns N Roses et al. Having watched the first line-up of Nightvision play for 18 months, bassist Dean Hocking, brother of Daryl, was persuaded to join in 2005. The search then began for the final piece in the band’s jigsaw – a talented vocalist / front man, culminating at the beginning of 2006, when extrovert, energetic vocalist Dave McKee walked into the group’s audition room, exuding all the self-confidence of a natural born front man. Hence the definitive line-up had been reached. The four musicians gelled instantly and soon assumed an enviable group consciousness, honing down their craft headlining local pub gigs and supporting the likes of Diamond Head & Fozzy. At the end of 2008 the band signed to Rocksector Records, and recorded ‘As The Lights Go Down’ in Axis Studios in Doncaster with producer Matt Ellis. Turn the volume up to 11 ‘As The Lights Go Down’ and immerse yourself in their truly excellent debut album! Mission accomplished so far & Nightvision now looks forward to writing the next chapter in its’ history.
