SOS FESTIVAL : ON-SALE NOW

16th-17th July 2011

Hi everyone & happy new year from all of us involved with SOS Festival & Rocksector Records.

After what seems like a long wait, we're delighted to say we can begin our announcements for the 2011 festival which takes place at Radcliffe Civic on 16th & 17th July (Saturday & Sunday).

Heading up the line-up for Sunday is Scottish rockers GUN who've had a long & distinguished career since their debut album "Taking On The World" back in 1989, followed by albums "Gallus" & "Swagger". These 3 albums spawned UK Top 40 hits & the band toured the States & also supported the Rolling Stones on their European Tour of 1990. GUN's cover of "Word Up!" hit Top Ten success in the UK singles chart representing the pinnacle of their popularity at that time. The band split in 1997 but returned with a new line-up, playing a particularly memorable set at the 106.1 Rock Radio Manchester launch gig in May 2008. A new album is scheduled for release later in 2011 with what promises to be a real return to the original GUN sound & we're absolutely delighted the band has agreed to headline SOS. They're joined on the Sunday by Exit State, Marseille, Citizen Charlie, Vega, Wizzard & Ten By Ten.

On our Saturday the festival line-up is headed up by Fury UK who recently toured with USA legends Y&T, released their critically-acclaimed "A Way Of Life" album & are on a 12-date UK tour with Saxon & Wolfsbane in April this year. Fury UK are joined by Nightvision, Fantasist, Evil Scarecrow & Spires.

Many more bands to be confirmed yet for both festival days.
