Rocksector was first started as a promotion device for independent bands on the internet in 2001 and has been proud to help a variety of bands and artists over the years including one or two notables such as Heaven and Earth and Iain Ashley Hersey with guest appearances by the likes of Ritchie Sambora, Glenn Hughes and Joe Lynn Turner. The original format was based around a significant presence worldwide via MP3.com.

When MP3.com was sold Rocksector re-aligned its' activities and became more focused on recording projects and providing resources via the internet to the extent that the logical conclusion was to form an independent record label based around the website. It's that platform that serves as the basis for the company's activities and future today as well as promotion ongoing.

The reason for being Rocksector is simply summed up as follows...."we have a passion for helping and promoting the creation and distribution of quality music via worldwide channels. The real buzz is in seeing the interest and attention a band receives with our help and support....the feedback from people who bought the CD....the positive response from press and radio....this is our food and drink. Do we make a lot of money?...no. Do we care about that?....yes but we are in this for the long haul....music is our passion and we believe if we continue our ethos of treating people fairly and genuinely the horizon will always be bright."
