2012 will be the 5th SOS Festival & just like every year so far, we'll yet again be looking to make the event bigger & better. A tough challenge since 2011 was just fantastic.. headline acts GUN & Fury UK, stunning performances from Exit State, Attica Rage, Falling Red, Velvet Star, Nightvision & many more - too many to mention just now. As well as GUN & Fury UK in 2011, SOS has been headlined previously by Blaze Bayley, Black Spiders & Heaven's Basement.

SOS Festival takes place annually at Radcliffe Civic Hall in Radcliffe, Manchester, in July. It's NOT to be confused with any other similarly-named festivals which have sprung up during the last couple of years.

BANDS WANTING TO PLAY : If you're in or represent a band wanting to play SOS Festival we're sorry but applications are now closed until 2013.

23rd May : main stage line-up is now finalised with the very welcome addition of these bands.. Absolva, Fantasist, Wolfcrusher, My Wooden Pillow & Black Swan Rising.

16th April : delighted to add the fabulous Savage Outlaw, Trucker Diablo & October Sky to our line-up. Also, we welcome dancers Polefire & Cyanide Girls..

22nd February 2012 : very happy to announced the excellent Obsessive Compulsive & The Goddamn Electric added to our Saturday line-up.

5th February 2012 : 3 more bands confirmed.. a welcome return for the amazing parody metal band Evil Scarecrow, a reunion for Breakdown including Fury UK's Luke Appleton on bass, playing main stage on Sunday & acoustic stage on Saturday & hardrockers Afterdown return but this time on our acoustic stage.

25th January 2012 : 8 further bands announced today.. the epitome of British metal Beholder, the dark orchestral female-fronted gothics Hanging Doll, the raw raucous attitude of Velvet Star, the irresistable catchiness of proggers Fantasist, the classy prog metallers Spires, Power-Folk from Steel Threads, female-fronted modern metal from Incassum, grungy hard rock/metal from Ten By Ten.

16th October 2011 : First 7 bands announced for 2012.. Tygers Of Pan Tang, Exit State, Max Pie, Gone Til Winter, Triaxis, Wizzard & Broken.
