PRESS RELEASE : 28TH FEBRUARY 2013
Dave Evans, former singer and co-founder of AC/DC, returns to tour the UK for a 3rd time in 4 years. The tour takes place across June-July with a fitting finale as headline artist on 20th July at Manchester's SOS Festival.
It's equally fitting that in the year AC/DC celebrate their 40th anniversary, Dave returns to his country of birth and as before, will rock with songs taken from his "Judgement Day" album which was released on Rocksector in 2010, plus a special selection of AC/DC songs chosen from his time with the band, as well as songs from the Bon Scott era.
Dave has toured worldwide over the years but the past 3years especially has seen an uplift in interest from the UK. As in 2012 his band the UK Badasses will be Chris Appleton: lead guitar, Martin McNee: drums, Tom Atkinson: lead guitar, Dan Bate: bass.
Audiences will look forward to energetic, highly-charged performances as observed in Powerplay's 8/10 live review from the 2012 tour.. "a set of original songs that was peppered with very early AC/DC .. a spirited version of Baby Please Don't Go was a highlight and the pairing of Long Way To The Top and Let There Be Rock brought the house down"
The full tour schedule is as follows.. June 28th The Towler, Bury, 29th Billing Bike Show, Northampton, 30th Uncle Toms Cabin, Blackpool, July 5th Riverside, Selby, 6th Elliots, Aberdare, 11th Railway, Ipswich, 12th Queens Hall, Nuneaton, 13th Sanctuary, Burnley, 14th Green Star, Stoke, 18th Yardbirds, Grimsby, 20th SOS Festival, Manchester.
